French Section Students discovering French Guyana

At Beau Soleil, we place great importance on exposing our students to new cultures and experiences.  We believe that education takes place both inside and outside the classroom, in Switzerland and around the world and each year all of our students participate in at least one international trip.

In 2018, French Guyana was the extraordinary destination for all of our French section students. Exploring this exotic French department meant that sometimes students went out of their comfort zone as they discovered amazing landscapes and enjoyed unforgettable moments. What was on the schedule? An excursion to Îles du Salut, a dugout canoe expedition, walks through the tropical forest, swimming in the Approuague river, an overnight spent in a hammock and discovery of the fauna et flora with the aboriginals. The highlight of the trip was watching the launch of the Soyouz space shuttle, a unique experience that our students will remember for a long time to come.

We can’t wait to hear about their next adventure!
