Ski Instructor

The Ski Instructor Programme enables students to train towards their BASI Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications, alongside an accredited first aid certificate.

Through structured technical training and guided practice, students develop strong skiing performance, mountain safety awareness and professional coaching skills. They gain valuable experience by teaching and leading sessions with their peers, applying theory in a real alpine environment.

More than a certification pathway, the programme builds confidence, leadership and clear communication, preparing students to take responsibility on and off the slopes.

Roasting & Barista

Founded in 2020 by a group of 17 students, inspired by the 17 grams used in their first espresso recipes, 17g Coffee is a not-for-profit enterprise. Students train to Specialty Coffee Association standards, developing professional skills in espresso preparation and small-batch roasting.

From sourcing transparently traded beans to roasting, brewing and serving, students lead every stage of the process, with a focus on quality, sustainability and flavour. They have travelled to Kenya to understand coffee production at origin and have represented 17g at the Lausanne Coffee Festival, engaging with the wider specialty coffee community.

All profits are reinvested into social and environmental projects at origin, supporting the communities that grow the coffee. Through 17g, students gain recognised qualifications, entrepreneurial experience and a strong sense of responsible business in action.

Master Beekeeping

The Beekeeping & Honey Production programme invites students to be part of Alpine Gold, the school’s student-led honey business.

Students learn the principles of sustainable beekeeping, hive management and honey extraction, working with local producers to understand the vital role bees play in alpine ecosystems. From production and packaging to branding and sales, they lead every stage of bringing a local product to market.

Through Alpine Gold, students gain hands-on agricultural experience, entrepreneurial skills and a deeper appreciation for environmental stewardship and responsible business.

SUP Instructor

The SUP Instructor programme enables students to train towards their ASI Level 1 and Level 2 Stand Up Paddle Instructor qualifications, alongside an accredited first aid certificate.

Set against our unique alpine environment, the programme builds leadership, communication and resilience, preparing students to teach with confidence on open water.

Wine Production

From grape to bottle, the Wine Production programme offers students the opportunity to be part of Sedvni Wines, the school’s student-led wine business.

Working in partnership with a local vineyard, students are involved in the full production journey, from harvest and vinification to bottling, branding and sales. Alongside this hands-on experience, they prepare for the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines, developing a strong foundation in grape varieties, wine styles and tasting techniques.

Through Sedvni Wines, students gain practical insight into viticulture and entrepreneurship, combining industry knowledge with real business responsibility.

MTB Guide & Mechanic

The MTB Guide & Mechanic programme offers students the opportunity to qualify as a British Cycling Mountain Bike Instructor and a UCI-accredited Mechanic.

Through technical riding development and structured coaching training, students build the skills required to lead safe and confident sessions on the trail. Alongside this, they gain hands-on mechanical expertise, learning to maintain, service and repair bikes to professional standards.

Located just a stone’s throw from the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), Beau Soleil provides a unique setting for students to engage with the world of elite cycling while developing industry-recognised qualifications, leadership skills and practical experience.
