From summiting the world’s tallest peaks to exploring every corner of our alpine idyl, our outdoor education programme encourages students to scale new heights.

From summiting the world’s tallest peaks to exploring every corner of our alpine idyl, our outdoor education programme encourages students to take on challenges and learn about themselves by doing so.

At Beau Soleil, we encourage our young people to seek out challenges. We also encourage them to spend as much time as possible outdoors, to connect with the spectacular environment that surrounds our campus and discovering the wider world.

Outdoor education is a cornerstone of our curriculum. Termly activities range from the fun and exciting to the difficult and scary. These experiences challenge our students to step out side of their comfort zones and by doing so, build their confidence, encourage teamwork, and develop leadership skills.

Each year, life changing expeditions – including to Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and the jungles of South America – teach our students about setting ambitious goals and the determination to achieve them. Both the challenge of the expedition and in the preparation give our students a model for future successes in life.

“The experience took me out of my comfort zone. I was able to abseil, despite being afraid of heights, and work effectively in a rafting team. I faced my fears and now feel much more confident.”
