Start the day curious
Mornings at Classical Camp are dedicated to engaging, interactive learning.
Campers can choose language lessons in:
- English
- French
- or Spanish
Classes are adapted to Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced levels.
With a maximum student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1, lessons are designed to be interactive, supportive and give every camper plenty of individual attention.
For Senior Campers aged 14+ with an expert level of English, we also offer two specialised classes designed to develop confidence, creativity and leadership skills:
- Public Speaking
This class is designed to help our campers build confidence and ease when speaking in front of others — in English. Through fun, interactive activities, they will learn how to express themselves clearly and effectively, structure their ideas, and engage their audience.
We’ll explore key aspects of communication such as voice projection, body language, eye contact, stage presence, and how to capture and keep people’s attention. Campers will also work on short speeches, debates, and group presentations, gaining valuable feedback in a supportive and encouraging environment. The goal is for every student to leave feeling more confident, articulate, and comfortable speaking in public.
- Entrepreneurship
This class introduces campers to the exciting world of entrepreneurship and innovation. They’ll explore what makes a successful business, the different types of enterprises that exist today, and how new ideas can grow into real-world solutions.
Working in small groups, campers will develop their own creative business project — from brainstorming a concept to designing a basic business plan and pitching their idea to the class. Along the way, they’ll learn about teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and communication.
The aim is to inspire curiosity, creativity, and initiative while giving them a taste of what it means to think like an entrepreneur.
FAQs
Information about classes, levels and groups.
| Q: What morning classes can my child attend? |
|---|
|
A: All campers can choose to study French, English or Spanish. Senior campers (ages 14-17) who already have an advanced level of English may also choose Entrepreneurship or Public Speaking classes instead of studying a language. |
| Q: How are language ability levels determined? |
|
A: On the first Monday morning of each Classical Camp session, campers complete a short oral assessment with our teaching team. This helps us place each camper in the most appropriate class. We cater for all levels, from beginner to advanced. |
| Q: What if I feel my child is in the wrong language group? |
| A: If you or your child feel the class level is not appropriate, please speak to us as early as possible. Our Head of Academics will review the placement and, where appropriate, adjust the class. |
| Q: How many students are in each class? |
|
A: Classes have a maximum of 12 students and are organised by both age group and language level. |
| Q: Can I change my child's class before or during camp? |
|
A: Yes. Course selections can be changed before camp begins. During the first few days of camp, a change may be requested subject to availability and approval from our academic team. Because class sizes are limited, changes cannot always be accommodated. No class changes can be made during the second week of the course. |
