Nestled in an idyllic village – and surrounded by towering peaks, wide-open spaces, and verdant pine forests – Beau Soleil is the perfect place for a summer adventure.

Our campers form lifelong friendships as they conquer mountains, tackle obstacle courses, and sleep under the stars. Morning language lessons develop French, English, or Spanish skills, while adventurous afternoon activities – including banana boating and our swing bridge challenge – make the most of our natural surroundings.

There really is an experience for everyone, and our campers leave us with just one wish: to return to Switzerland every year!

“This is my third summer at Beau Soleil – and each time has been amazing. I love the overnight and campfire, and the water activities are awesome!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do campers sleep?

Girls and boys are housed in separate accommodation, with most of our campers sharing twin rooms. Campers are allocated to a building based on their age and gender.

Which airport should my child fly to?

Beau Soleil is easy to reach from Geneva airport, and transfers to and from the terminal are included in our fees.

My child is flying with an unaccompanied minor service – what do I need to do?

Please let us know in advance if your child is flying as an unaccompanied minor. We’ll confirm the name of the person assisting them one week before their flights. This service incurs an additional charge from both the airline and Beau Soleil.

Does my child need a visa?

Campers from certain countries will need a visa to enter Switzerland, which may take up to two weeks to process. Please check with the Swiss embassy in your country.

Who will my child share a room with?

Please let us know in advance if your child wishes to share their room with a friend. While we’ll do our best to meet your request, we cannot guarantee it will be possible. If no special request is provided, your child will typically share a room with a camper from a different country. We do this deliberately to bring people from different backgrounds together.

What food do you serve at the camps?

Meals are freshly prepared by our chefs, who pay meticulous attention to quality, presentation, and flavour. This ensures our campers enjoy a healthy, balanced, and delicious menu. We offer a diverse vegetarian selection, while any meals containing pork are highlighted. Please let us know if your child has any allergies or dietary requirements.

Attendance at all meals is compulsory. Children and staff share mealtimes, and we often organise BBQs and themed evenings.

How much pocket money should my child bring?

We recommend 150 CHF per week. Pocket money is paid in advance, and every camper can withdraw small sums each day (Monday to Friday). Any money remaining is returned to your child before they depart.

If you’d like to leave additional pocket money, this can be arranged with our Finance Department prior to arrival. We do, however, discourage campers from bringing large sums with them. Please note that we only accept cash in Swiss Francs.

What happens if my child gets sick?

Our school nurses provide round-the-clock care for any minor ailments and ensure our campers take their medication. Any prescribed medication is kept and administered by the nurse; self-medication isn’t allowed. This rule applies to homeopathic medication, too, which should be discussed with our nursing staff upon arrival. Our nurses work closely with local doctors and the nearest hospital to deal with any serious issues.

Should my child bring a mobile phone or other electronic device?

Your child is welcome to bring a mobile phone or tablet with them. However, to ensure they make the most of their time at camp, we limit the use of electronic devices to specific times of the day.

What languages can my child study?

As part of our 2025 Summer Camp programme, we’re running a selection of courses to help your child develop their language skills. These include French, English, and Spanish. We’ll assess your child’s level on their first day and then place them into a class relative to their ability.
