From summiting the world’s tallest peaks to exploring every corner of our alpine idyl, our outdoor education programme encourages students to scale new heights.

At Beau Soleil, we encourage our young people to seek out challenges. We also want them to spend as much time as possible outdoors, both connecting with the spectacular environment that surrounds our campus and discovering the world.

Outdoor education is an important part of our curriculum. Termly activities range from the fun and exciting to the difficult and scary. They stretch our students in appropriate ways, building their confidence, encouraging teamwork, and developing important leadership skills.

Each year, life-shaping climbing expeditions – including to Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Cotopaxi in Ecuador – teach our students about resilience and determination. Both the challenge of the climb and the weeks of preparation give them a model for success in life, as reaching the summit requires knowledge, hard work, and commitment.

“The experience took me out of my comfort zone. I was able to abseil, despite being afraid of heights, and work effectively in a rafting team. I faced my fears and now feel much more confident.”
