I am excited to have joined Beau Soleil, and BS Boys House this year. I was born in Hong Kong and have lived internationally for most of my life. I went to boarding school from the age of 8 and I have been a Housemaster in schools in London and Hong Kong over the past 10 years . I am an Economics graduate from Durham University and completed my teaching qualification through the Teach First programme. I teach Physical Education, Economics and Mathematics.
I believe that boarding enhances education in every possible way, and see my role in House as someone who can help students be the very best versions of themselves. In boarding it is the ‘little things’ that form relationships, and my favourite part of my role is just talking to students, getting to know what interests them, what drives them, and what aspirations and ideas they have. I am inspired by the opportunities that students have here; it is so important to be able to push oneself, to make mistakes, and to be reflective, and I look forward to working with students in order to help them achieve this.
I am always keen to try something new, to learn and to develop. I am an avid skier, and, when the snow has melted I enjoy hiking and trail running in the mountains.
