After 10 years at Shrewsbury School, a leading boarding school in the UK, I went to the University of Bristol where I graduated with a degree in Hispanic Studies. Nine years in the school expedition business followed, working with schools to give students exciting leadership and teamwork opportunities on expeditions all over the world.
I love being a houseparent — it is a great privilege to play such an important role in students lives during their formative years.
In 2009 I moved into teaching and haven't looked back since. I am a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher and have worked in a rural preparatory school in the UK, a bilingual Montessori school in Guatemala, and a German boarding school in Bavaria.
I am the Senior Houseparent in Beau Soleil Boys and I also teach beginner French. I love being a houseparent — it is a great responsibility looking after the boys in the house, but it is also a great privilege to play such an important role in their lives during their formative years. There is never a dull moment!
I enjoy tennis and squash, I am a fanatical fly fisherman and I also shoot when the opportunity arises. I love my skiing and the great outdoors and so living here in Villars is almost too good to be true — I have it all on my doorstop!
