I have always had a love for coaching and teaching and with a sister, a brother and both parents working as teachers, this seems to be something that runs in the family! I qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree from Dublin City University in Physical Education and Biology. I decided to combine my love for travelling with my love for teaching and left Ireland to teach in the UK, Qatar, Australia, Turkey and China. I also spent some time travelling and volunteering in South America, Africa and South-East Asia. I have been teaching Physical Education and Science in a British International School in China for the last three years. I have also had a pastoral role as the Head of Year 7, which has allowed me to foster close relationships between students and parents in the cohort.
I believe strongly in a growth mindset and I am continuously looking to upskill and challenge myself.
As a Physical Education teacher I am passionate about sport and physical activity. In my free time I enjoy participating in rugby, hockey, hiking, cycling, watersports and skiing whenever I get the chance. My goal as a Physical Education teacher is to pass on my love of physical activity and to instill a life-long love for physical activity in all students.
